Which is the Right SUV for You?
Wagoneer
Performance

When you take the helm of a large SUV, you expect to have plenty of power at your disposal. Luckily, both models deliver. The Ford Expedition brings a 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine to the table, which cranks out 380 horsepower. The potent 5.7L V8 engine—standard on the Wagoneer—delivers 392 horsepower.

Wagoneer
A Powerful Presence

You’ll only get the eTorque Mild Hybrid system with the Wagoneer. This standard performance system replaces the traditional alternator with a belt-driven motor-generator. This helps provide a boost of power and optimizes efficiency, so you can have the best of both worlds.

All that power makes both models capable of towing as well. The Ford Expedition can tow up to 9,300 pounds while the Wagoneer has a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds when properly equipped. That means you’ll be able to bring your jet skis to the lake or pull your travel trailer to your favorite campsite.

Wagoneer
Off-Road Capabilities

When you’re ready to hit the trails, so are the Wagoneer and the Ford Expedition. The Expedition is available with Control Trac® 4WD while the Wagoneer can be equipped with one of three available 4x4 drivetrains, including:

  • Quadra-Trac I®
  • Quadra-Trac II®
  • Quadra-Drive® II

Off-Road Ready

Both SUVs can also adapt to the trail ahead with their selectable drive modes. When you really get into the thick of things, the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System of the Wagoneer comes with a Sand/Mud mode. The Terrain Management System™ of the Expedition comes with a comparable Sand mode for similar low-traction situations.

The Quadra-Lift® Air Suspension is only available on the Wagoneer. It allows for up to 3.6 inches of suspension travel, so you can lower it out on the highway for greater aerodynamics or raise it to get more ground clearance out on the trails. It also comes in handy when hitching up a trailer.

Wagoneer
Interior

Inside, you’ll find seating for eight across three rows in both models. You’ll have more wiggle room, however, in the Wagoneer with its 179 cubic feet of passenger volume. The Ford Expedition tops out at just 171.9 cubic feet.

Wagoneer
Interior Versatility

Connectivity is key to your comfort, which is why both models come with innovative infotainment systems to keep you in touch with the world around you. Their interactive touchscreens give you access to a similar set of technologies, including:

  • Apple CarPlay®
  • Android Auto™
  • Bluetooth®
  • SiriusXM® Satellite Radio
  • GPS navigation

Smart safety features make it even easier to enjoy the road ahead, which is why both models offer a bevy of driver-assistance features. They can even help out in the parking lot. Both SUVs are available with a parking assist system that can correctly steer your vehicle into any suitable space.
